Abstract (EN)

Aim: Prostate cancer (PCa) is one of the most life-threatening cancers with an increasing prevalence in the last world. Evaluating the treatment alternatives of PCa, they turned out to be the most appropriate and cost-effective and applicable before the patient to İnönü University Turgut Özal Medical Center 2009-2018 Materials and Methods: Patients with prostate cancer who applied to İnönü University Turgut Özal Medical Center 2009-2018 were retrospectively analyzed. The treatment and follow-up of the patients were investigated from the hospital records. Pearson's Chi-Square test with Bonferroni correction in data analysis. The polynomial regression model was also used to examine the nonlinear relationships between the studied years and the numbers of the treatment options. Appropriate graphs were drawn by years for each qualitative and quantitative variables. With Microsoft Excel 2019 for graphic drawings in all data analyzes and R software for comparisons. When p<0.05 is seen. Results: 1.625 patients given PCa treatment in print were examined. The mean age of the patients was calculated as 62.3 years (46-81). Active follow-up, wait and see radical prostatectomy, bilateral orchiectomy, radiotherapy, hormone therapy, chemotherapy, and targeted therapies were applied to these patients as the first treatment. Conclusion: The major obstacle to life expectancy, the biggest obstacle to cancer, has increased the scope of treatment, and with it. Alternatives in prostate cancer treatment have also changed over the past year. While examining the cost of newer medical treatments that are less invasive, fewer side effects and longer survival were seen in the environment.
