Abstract (EN)
Tourism became an important industry as production industry all over the world. To compete with other world countries, Turkey have to have advantageous and superior sides than the others. Most important superiority of tourism must be qualified service since this sector is mostly depended on labor force. Qualified service is only obtainable by qualified workers. To get qualified workers is possible with good professional education. In this study, it is aimed to question the efficiency of training programs and its consistency between the goals and realized results of applied training programs given by tourism schools. In this survey, training methods at the level of high schools and colleges are investigated by using some researches completed at near past and the results of these researches are interpreted. Search results belonging to undergraduate degree is collected by doing questionnaire among third year and senior students who completed their professional training programs. Some interesting results are obtained after all of these researches and evaluations. The most important one is that the training programs are not sufficiently effective. In the light of these results it is obviously seen that standardization of training programs by increasing interaction between schools and sector and reorganization of training programs according to professions itself needs are inevitable.
