Perception of tourism faculty students towards the use of service robots in accomodation businesses

The main purpose of this research is to examine the perception of tourism faculty students towards service robots used in accommodation businesses. In this direction, a detailed literature review was conducted and then a model was proposed in accordance with the research purpose. In order to test the proposed model, ESOGU Tourism Faculty students were reached in the application conducted between April 2023 and May 2023 and data were collected from 253 students via online and face-to-face surveys. Factor analysis was used to test the validity of the data. Correlation analysis was performed for the hypotheses developed within the scope of the research. In addition, difference tests were conducted on gender, internship status, robot usage experience and variables included in the research. In line with the findings obtained, it was observed that there was a significant relationship between trust, performance, perceived risk and ease of use and intention to use robots. On the other hand, a significant relationship was found between trust and performance and ease of use, performance and perceived risk and ease of use, perceived risk and ease of use and trust. The research contributes to the use of service robots in accommodation businesses by measuring the perception of tourism faculty students towards service robots used in accommodation businesses.
