The analysis of tourism introduction brochures in the context of literature

Tourism is one of today's popular areas as both education and business. Tourism, which stands out with its educational dimension as an important sector, is closely related to many fields like politics, culture, and economy. When evaluated in terms of education, it is observed that it interacts with many disciplines such as foreign language education, literature, folk science and psychology. This study mainly focuses on the interaction between tourism and literature. The effects of tourism and literature on each other are explained with examples; a list of the important poets and writers of each province was prepared. The examples of poets and writers, who are identified with their cities in the world and Turkey, are given. In addition, the importance of literature tourism is emphasized; the contribution of author museum houses, literary museums and literary museums to tourism is highlighted. In this study, the brochures and web pages published by Provincial Directorates of Culture and Tourism have been examined in terms of literary elements. It is observed that the names and biographies of the poets and writers, raised by the related province, are not included in the brochures of most provinces. Hence, the importance and usefulness of adding literary content has been emphasized because of their touristic value to the promotional brochures. In this study a map of the literary richness of Turkey's provinces is issued on the basis of literature and possible tourism routes in this direction was prepared.
