Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to conduct an exploratory research on the expenditure authorities on the impact of tourism investment and expenditures on regional development in the Eastern Marmara region. It is aimed to discover the added value that investment, services and expenditures that will be made for tourism in the region can generate in the region. In this context, the development process for managing the spending of local authorities they are revealed to the person in the highest position specific ( willpower, knowledge, culture, experience, vision ), institution-specific (budget, personnel, technical equipment), region-specific (supply and demand resources) in terms of the phenomena that arise, such as determining factors were investigated. Discoveries of the study; the visionary attitude shows that factors such as the budget capacity and ability of the relevant institutions to create budgets, the tourism supply and demand structure of the region directly affect the development process. Investments and expenditures in the region will enable the development of tourism industry activities, especially increasing the employment capability and income level of the region. Tourism can be used as an important tool in local development. The results obtained will provide important results in terms of contributing to the development process of the region and other similar regions and benefiting policy makers in the decision-making process.
