The effect of tourism on economy; analysis between 2008-2018

Tourism, is the main service industry which contributes to economy in Turkey and even the World. Due to its great contribution to the economy, it is becoming more and more important day by day. Tourism directly or indirectly affects many sectors. It affects many areas from industry to trading. The more tourism develops, the more other sectors develop. The development of the inter-sectoral relationship also contributes greatly to the economy. There are also a lot of foreign currency inflow into the country. This foreign exchange input has a positive impact on the development and economy of the country. It enlivens the economy in terms of reducing unemployment by generating employment in many areas. Due to the 7/24 understanding of the sector, providing uninterrupted service eliminates time limitation. Therefore, income items are continuously processed. Due to the positive contribution of tourism to the economy, the amount of Gross National Product may increase. In this respect, the positive contributions of tourism to the economy between 2008 and 2018 were examined. Correlational research method was used in the study.
