Tourism influence to urbanization: Based on example of Alanya

Like the whole world, tourism activities in Turkey is increasing rapidly. By thedevelopment of tourism, important changes are occuring in the pattern of thetouristical cities and towns. Meanwhile, arrangement of intercitytransportation, improvement of city enviroment and application of urbandevelopment from urban identitiy to urban life quality, with protectinghistorical structures and traditional pattern, is a exigency to achieve thesatisfaction of the foreign tourists.In our workspace, Antalya, with the increasing tourism activities, thereare important developments are achieved in urbanisation. Within thisprocess; the civil engineering system about tourism sector must becompatible with the principles of the aspect, called Ecologic Renaissance, inplanning, design and architecture including public values.
