Abstract (EN)

While an important proportion of academic research in Turkey have been focused on the developing financial performances, the absence of a study focusing on the labor market structure of the sector is clear. The problematique of handling the structure of banking sector from another point of view has prioritized an updated analysis of the financials and employment simultaneously and led to a comparable evaluation in this study. Two empirical analyses have been put forward in order to handle wage gaps and the bargaining power of labor. The first one primarily aims at determining the effect of human capital on wage differentials; while the second one aims at handling the increase and the trends of net profits, provisions for taxes and employment costs, which cover wage and social security payments concurrently. The results indicate that the power of educational level on wage differentials gets narrowed, as the wages approach saturation point. On the other hand, public authority seems to prefer increasing financial depth, instead of increasing or maximizing real tax income.
