Abstract (EN)
In this study, the compositional approach and artistic identity of Hasan Ferid Alnar, one of the members of the Turkish Five, are examined through his work Eight Piano Pieces. The first chapter explores the evolution of Turkish musical culture from the pre-Islamic period to the Republican era. The second chapter evaluates the emergence of the Turkish Five, their individual musical styles, and their contributions to Turkish music. The third chapter focuses on Alnar's life and musical understanding. In the fourth chapter, Eight Piano Pieces is analyzed in terms of structure, rhythm, and makam.
