Disorder and violence in sports in Turkish Penal Law

In our country, some regulations have been made in order to take the necessary precautions about disorder and violence in sports. Here, we tried to review the current situation in our country in terms of disorder and violence in sport by making necessary determinations and evaluations in this study. In this context, the subject of the study has been determined as "Disorder and Violence in Sports in Turkish Penal Law ". This study involves three chapters: "Conceptual and Legal Framework in terms of Disorder and Violence in Sports ", "Crimes Related to Disorder in Sports Regulated by Law No. 6222" and "Crimes Related to Violence in Sports Regulated by Law No. 6222" In the first chapter, the concepts of disorder and violence in sports are explained and the historical development of disorder and violence in sport is mentioned. Factors causing disorder and violence in sports are also being discussed. In addition, national and international legal regulations on disorder and violence in sports were included. Many crimes have been regulated by Law No. 6222. The crimes should be examined in detail due to the importance of match-fixing and incentive premium crimes. Therefore, the crimes in the Law are classified as crimes related to disorder in sports and violence in sports. In this context, crimes related to disorder in sports are discussed in the second part and crimes related to violence in sports are examined in the last part. Crimes related to disorder in sports are "crime of match-fixing", "crime of incentive premium", "crimes about illegal entrance to the sports field", "crime of entrance to forbidden area", "crime of refusing to comply to police force after being banned from watching a contest" in the second section; crimes related to violence in sports are "crime of introducing prohibited substances into sports fields and disruption of the contest, "crimes of cheering that involve threat or libel and indignity to some part of society" and "crime of invading sports fields and damage to facilities" were explained in the last chapter.
