An examination about Turkish origined words in the Turkish dictionary of Turkish Language Institution: Ö item example

The dictionaries are pieces that get together the vocabulary of a language. In this study, the words which in 'ö item' of the Turkish Language Institution Dictionary's that was written about the vocabulary of the Turkish language. The stems that especially examined if they were accepted as having Turkish origin by the Turkish Language Institution. In addition to these words; some stems which are item heads in origin science, modern and historical dictionaries were also studied. This study consists of three parts: In the first part, the quality of the original science dictionaries was mentioned. The nouns that have Turkish root in the second part and the verbs which have Turkish root were examined via a rear and synchrony method. In the analysis part of this study, the words, which were accepted as item head, were firstly classified under two main topics: 'nouns and verbs'. After the structures of the words in up to date and historical dictionaries, its statements in Turkish dialects (Altai, Azerbaijani, Turkman, Bashkir, Chuvash, Gagauz, Tatar, Uzbek, Uighur, Karachay, Karaim, Crimean Tatar, Kirghiz, Kazakh, Kumyk, Tuvan, Hakas and Yakut-Sakha Turkish) were examined via altering at least one member from each dialect group. Moreover, the structures of the words in Korean and Mongolian were referred to because of thinking that they can contribute. The evaluations were also made in light of the researches mentioned above for each word. The purpose of this study; determinating the statements in Turkish dialects and the history of the words examined and evaluating about the words examined via bringing together the etymology studies which were made in special of these words. It was aimed at contributing to stem information studies and generally Turcology thanks to these.
