Özet (EN)

This study discusses the masnavi of Defteremini Mustafa Çelebi, of which text is the only example of Varka and Gülşah, among the masnavi topics of Classical Turkish Literature without sequel, which has reached to the present day from the Anatolian region of 16th century. This work of Mustafa Çelebi, which was written in masnavi form in Turkish Literature of the Anatolian region, has a characteristic of being the latter of the two examples that have reached to the present day, This study has aimed to translate the text of Masnavi of Varka and Gülşah of Mustafa Çelebi, which is placed in number 1020 in Archeology Museum of Istanbul into transcription alphabet, to analyze the masnavi in terms of form and content, and to make a comparison with the Masnavi of Ayyuki of Ghazni, which has the characteristic of being the first masnavi written under this title, in terms of motif, characters, rhythm, verse form and types used in masnavi. In the study it is ascertained that the Masnavi of Varka and Gülşah, which is said to be of Bediî, belongs to Defteremini Mustafa Çelebi in fact; and that Mustafa Çelebi who is thought to have written Mihr ü Vefa that is believed to be lost, did not write such a masnavi. This study confirms that the argument that the motif of revival via pray of Hz. Muhammed aftermath of the death of characters in the work of Yusuf-ı Meddah with the same title, which is the first example of Varka and Gülşah Masnavi in the Anatolia region, does not exist in Persian masnavi of Ayyuki and that this motif was included in the masnavi by Yusuf-ı Meddah and that this was performed in the subsequent Turkish masnavis, does not reflect the truth in accordance with the result of the comparison.
