Abstract (EN)
At first part of our study consisting two main parts namely ?Water inTurkish Folk Faith? implementations regarding the water in contex of folkfaiths during transitional period are included. Water factor in folk faithsdealing with birth, marriage and death matters in transitional period has beenexemplified as from past periods until today and from this fact the function ofthe water in folk faiths is emphasized.In the second part of our study, in contrast with other faiths we haveexamined, folk faiths collecting many of the faiths regarding the water are setforth. Practices in those factors keeping many of the faiths together includingthe water are examined by associating with the symbolic structure of thewater.Mankind adopting lifelong the evolution and development as principal,monitored all technological developments; but have not desisted from itstraditions, customs and faiths despite furnishing its consciousness with newinformations. Folk faiths gaining place in every period of society and humanbeing lives have emerged as mutual acceptances of the society it stemmedfrom and taken root in every period by adding new values into its strcuture.Many of the factors regarding deep rooted folk faiths involving water cult atthe heart have became source to our studies. Briefly, in this study,indispensable role of water involving in faith where deeply influenced thehuman psychology and community sociology has been determined andexplained.Key words:1. Water2. Faith3.
