Abstract (EN)
The first place that a person establishes a relationship with since the process of existence is his own body. From primitive man to modern man, body perception, the existence of the body, its meaning, characteristics, conceptions of the body, signs made on the body, tattoos, etc. he must have attracted attention. The relationship between body and soul, the skeleton, which is the only element remaining after the absence of the body, has also aroused interest and curiosity in terms of societies. This interest and curiosity has brought with it beliefs, practices and practices related to the body, soul, skeleton. In our study, we will evaluate these practices, which are shaped according to the belief, living and thinking patterns of each society, within the framework of the skull motif. The dry head motif, which finds a place in many areas such as folk literature narrative genres, transition periods and seasonal ceremonies, also includes sanctity. In this study, the dry head motif will be discussed within the framework of the concepts of body, soul, skeleton, folk literature products and folk beliefs, practices and applications. Our study will be evaluated within the framework of the information obtained from oral sources together with written sources.
