Abstract (EN)

The Turkish Accelerator Center (TAC) project has 5 sub-topics. One of them is a high-beam energy recovery linac (ERL-energy recovery linac) and a ring-type electron-positron collider proposed to operate as a charm factory. The performance of the electromagnetic calorimeters of this detector provided by large crystals is of great significance due to their ability to distinguish photons and quantify the energy resolution of photons and electrons. Lutetium-yttrium oxyorthosilicate (LYSO) crystal scintilators were initially designed for medical applications. Due to their high density, short Moli ère radius, rapid reaction and high radiation hardness, LYSO crystals are also ideal for proposed homogeneous electromagnetic calorimeters. Due to these properties, LYSO is assumed to be used for the electromagnetic calorimeter part of the TAC Particle Factory (TAC-PF) detector. In this work, we simulated a group of crystals by using the GEANT4 toolkit software, and their energy resolutions were obtained for various lengths at an energy range of 50 MeV - 2 GeV. Contributions to the constant term of energy resolution have been investigated based on the length of the crystal. We analyzed the effect on the energy resolution of changing the angle and the photon incidence position of a 5 × 5 crystal matrix constructed with (25 × 25 × 200) mm3 LYSO scintillating crystals.
