Abstract (EN)

Mines are natural resources which have leaved its mark in all period of history. In today's world it is clear that countries which have an advanced economy take advantage of the driving force of mining. Every country determines its mining policy and forms its mining legislation in accordance with its social, economic and political policies. In this thesis it is constitutively aimed at revealing methods of mining prescribed by our country's mining law. In the first chapter of the thesis, it was attempted revealing definition and scope of the mine term, basic discussions in the mining law was featured and mining activities were assessed in the context of the environmental law, sustainable development and the public participation principle. In the second chapter of the thesis, the licence method and royalty agreements debated over after deplorable mining accidents which took place in Soma and Ermenek were discussed thoroughly. And the last chapter of the thesis, rights and obligations of parties in the licence method were revealed.
