The career perception in Turkish pharmaceutical industry: "two sample cases"

Today, Turkish Pharmaceutical Industry is one of sectors experiending the most intensive competition. In order to get free of this competition, companies should take notice of the employee. Companies should make too much of the value to their employees, thus they can achieve a positive accretion in their performance. The component, that introduces the company and conduct the performance of the company, is the employees. There are some factors that motivate the employees and secure the permanence of them. One of these factors is the decisions that the company takes regarding with the employee-oriented career strategies. In the present day; the career strategies become to be a sine qua non for the employees. For this reason, career becomes to be an important concept both for the business literature and companies. The career strategies that the companies perform for their employees can be classified into three parts. These parts are; Career Development, Career Planning and Career Management. According to organisation culture and the desires of the employee, every company tries to conduct these strategies adapting the conditions of the present day. The aim of this study is to compare a company with career strategies to a company without these strategies. In this study the sample case method is employed and the evidences are explained with the analyses. The career strategies of the chosen companies are tried to be displayed and the dissimilarities between these two companies are emphasised. As a result of these analyses there have appeared quite distinct variations between these two companies.
