Özet (EN)

This research is a survey on Iranian and Turkish minature and the importance of its study in graphic educational programs. Miniature is based on powerful foundations of ancient cultures of Iran and the neighbouring areas. And it pictures the great culture, literature and grand mystic images. Intrinsically miniature is by itself a kind of genuine culture and value and such an immense background is a strong proof of its valuability and duration. Also, on the other hand, miniature has a special place in books, museums and iberaries throughout the world and the artistic history. This again, in its part, is another reason for grandeure and durability of this art. Actually graphics (introduction and understanding messages though drawing and writing) originates for necessities of the world of production and consumption (sciences and industries) in the 20th century. The cold and empty world of industry and technology becomes beautiful, pleasant and even adorable by art. Graphics with all its practical branches has a close connection with arts such as photography, calligraphy, painting, and.... Visualizing (To make a piece of writing more clear, evident and expanded through pictures) is the common denominator between miniature and graphics and the base and essence of each of these arts. Thus in order to create a cultural and national identity in practical graphics a deep understanding of miniature as an art with all its dimensions, and a knowledge of the language of symbols and mysteries of pictures and colours is essential. This study thus aims to explain the importance of miniature in graphic educational programs. To examine the importance of this topic, after surveying the characteristics of the visual world and understanding the mysteries and symbols used by the mystic miniature paintist in presenting the thoughts and uideas, the present study aims to deal with the history of this art in Iran and Turkey. In proceeding chapters the study will introduce graphics and its practical branches and will analyse the characteristics and the common denominators between graphics and miniature. Believing in the fact that understanding the art of miniature and its visual effects gives cultural and national identity to the graphic works we can observe the importance of educational aspect of miniature in the graphic educational curriculum. m
