Abstract (EN)

Since the mid-1990s, the rapid adoption of the internet by everyone, developments in information technology and the use of these technologies by both businesses and consumers have shaped the economy and revealed the concept of digital economy. Especially with the beginning of the 1990s, the need for labor began to decrease with the widespread use of computers, the easy access to the internet, the explosion of internet use, and the acceleration of communication technologies. Therefore, particularly with the rise of the digital economy, standard labor relations have also been affected by these changes. Although standard employment relationships are still the most common type of work, non-standard employment relationships have amplified proportionally. Unlike standard labor relationships, non-standard labor relations are handled within the framework of the concepts of precarity and flexibility. In other words, part-time work in lieu of full-time work, fixed-term work in lieu of open-ended work, work in which more than two parties are involved in lieu of work for a single employer, etc. Thus, part-time work, fixed-term as well as temporary employment, multi-party employment relationships, and dependent self-employment are classified under this concept of non-standard employment and the new ways of working. One of the significant novel ways of working and the one most radically turning away from the standard employment relationship in this context has been "platform work".
