Social life is founded on the integrity of men and women. For centuries the communication and interaction between these two genders has left deep impress on many components of social structure and cultural background. One of these components is Literature. From the beginning it is seen that the woman has taken an active role in the oral literature. However, the same situation does not apply to written literature. Postmodernism and magic realism are the two art movements which became effective in Turkish and world literature after 1980.
