Abstract (EN)
This project has been created by considering the Turkish coffee culture, which attracts attention from all segments of society. The aim of the project is to examine the ceramic and porcelain Turkish coffee cup forms and to develop new presentation proposals. The study was limited by researching forms that appeal to modern and contemporary understand and have ergonomics in the foreground. In this study, it is aimed to deal with all dimensions of Turkish coffee culture in the process from the past to the present by making a historical research on Turkish coffee culture. It is aimed to identify the current problems of presentation, drinking habits and cup forms and to create new designs that find solutions to these problems. The aim to be achieved in these designs is to present design proposals with a new approach that incorporates function and aesthetics in the handle, mouth, foot, plate and similar parts, based on cup-shaped ergonomics. It is aimed that this study, which is prepared by making use of today's industrial technologies, will help researchers in the future. Keywords: Turkish coffee, Coffee Cup, Design, Ceramics, Concept
