UYAP Information System as e-government application in Turkish public administration

In recent years, especially with the developments in the field of digitalization, there have been significant changes in the field of public administration of many countries, especially Turkey. The digitalization process in public administration in Turkey started with the e-government application especially after 2000 and the developments in this field continue without slowing down. The main purpose of the e-government application is to provide the services in public administration to the citizens in a more effective, efficient and economical way. The most important reflection of the e-government application in the judicial system is the National Judicial Network Project (UYAP). In this study, the UYAP information system, which provides important contributions to many sectors, especially institutions, lawyers and citizens, is discussed. In this study, which consists of three parts, first of all, the conceptual framework of Turkish public administration is discussed. Then, the e-government application is emphasized. Then, the UYAP information system and its contributions are discussed. In the conclusion and suggestions part, important suggestions are made for the UYAP information system.
