Abstract (EN)
In this study we have examined compound verbs in Turkic dialects from different perspectives such as structures, functions and meanings. In order to do this, we have chosen a comparative methods. Three important Turkic dialects form different dialectical groups, (Oğuz, Kıpçak and Karluk) have been chosen and compared. These dialects are Turkish, Kazak Turkish and Özbek Turkish. At the beginning of the study we have deal with the concepts of compoundedness, phrases, verbs and verb phrases, and then we have given some information about these dialects in general. For this purpose, we have put forward researches? views on these issues and the structure of these three dialects about compound verbs. In addition to the views of researches, we have scanned some written materials of these dialects to collect the samples and classified them according to their structures and functions. At end of this study, we have discovered that Kazak Turkish and Özbek Turkish have more similarities than Turkish. Together with this, we have also found that some crucial similarities have taken place among all these three dialects. Another important peculiarities that we have found is the number of compound verbs in Turkish. In Turkish the number of compund verbs is less than other two dialects. The reason should be advanced grammaticalisation taking place in Turkish, because some words in Turkish have turned into suffixes such as the verb yorır. This separate verb became ?yor suffix in Turkish, but stayed unchangeable in Kazak as jür- and in Özbek as yür-.I hope that this study will be usefull for those studies which will examine other Turkic dialects regarding compaound verbs and other topics.
