Factors affecting the preference of the clarine instrument in state conservatories of turkish music education

Musical instruments are one of the most important elements of our traditions, customs and all our cultural values. Because these instruments are the tools that reflect the feelings and thoughts of a nation in the fastest way. The clarinet instrument is one of the popular instruments performed in every branch of Turkish music and in various regions today. Therefore, the development process of the clarinet, its technical features, performance characteristics and the reasons why it is preferred as an individual professional instrument in the state conservatories that provide Turkish music education are wanted to be examined in all aspects. This research was conducted to determine the situation and shows a descriptive structure. During the research, the information obtained in the past on the subject was tried to be obtained by scanning the written and digital sources, and then new findings were tried to be obtained by using the survey technique. In this study, qualitative and quantitative data were tried to be evaluated together by using a mixed design. If we list some of the results reached at the end of the research, it can be easily seen that the clarinet instrument is a popular instrument performed in Turkish classical music and Turkish folk music today, it is an instrument that is loved and wanted to be learned by the society, and we can say that that it is suitable for transpose and Turkish music maqam structure when it is preferred as an individual professional instrument.
