Zâkirbaşı in Turkish music and the place of Colonel Selahatti̇n Gürer, the latest zâkirbaşı in Turkish music

This study, in terms of its subject and content; A detailed examination of the zâkirbasi, which was the manager during the performance of the rites in the tradition of the sect, which lasted for about nine centuries and ended with the abolition of the lodges and zaviyes, and was also the carrier and transmitter of Turkish music culture, and Colonel Selahattin Gürer's analysis of this transmission chain. Since it is the last link, it is important in terms of contributing to the music literature by making an original study by doing more detailed research about it. This research is a descriptive study using musical analysis and qualitative methods, based on the scanning model, about the place of the zâkirbasi who led the rites performed in the lodge music of Turkish music and the last zâkir chief, Colonel Selahattin Gürer in our music culture. In the results of working; The data organized according to the subproject questions were processed, and the evaluations and musical analyzes of the zâkirbaşı and the last zâkirbaşı, Colonel Selahattin Gürer were included. It is thought that the research will contribute to the field, be original, support and shed light on new studies on this subject and similar topics.
