Abstract (EN)
In the history of arts, we come across with works of portraits and self portraits which derive from one's need to express himself and the society he lives in, in the artworks that have been a tool of expression since the ancient greek and egypt civilizations. In the research which focuses on the autobiographical expression in turkish painting; the process of using portraits and self portraits as a general expression tool is evaluated; by observing the primary artists and their works of portraits and self portraits, the impact which society creates on mankind in history, is examined. In the works, the autobiographical expression is considered under the title of self portrait. The researcher's works of self portrait are also examined in an objective way and inferences of Ezgi Ozkilic's works are presented.
