A research on the formation of bow technique and gam exercises in Turkish art music violin education

In this study, maqam scale and bow exercises were created whit the aim of using and benefiting in the education process by people who take Turkish Music violin education in amateur, general and professional sence. It is an exercise that includes scale exercises, détache, legato and sraccato bow techniques within the framework of the maqams determined by using the buselik, rast, uşşak and nihavend maqams, which are among Turkish Music maqams. It is a work prepared by considering the opinions of experts and accessible performers in the field of exercises. The maqams used in the study consist of exercises prepared by taking the role model of Oktay DALAYSEL‟s Scale Studies for Violin and Bow Types method on the maqam and bow techniques. The study is a study based on descriptive research and scanning model in terms of method. In line whit the specified titles and sections, it was concluded that the exercise studies prepared at the point of instrument education and training, by scanning the sources published and accessible on Turkish Music violin education, are an important issue for the development of the trained performers. It is aimed to improve the dominance of the maqam sounds used on the instrument touch as a result of the scale exercises prepared in the study of the amateur, general and professional Turkish Music violinists and the dominance of the instrument with technical bow exercises.
