Evaluation of turkish insurance sector at the range of European Union insurance sector

Abstract (EN)

Insurance sector in Turkey, has been seemed soo many changes since was started its operations in the beginning of 1800s. The greatest contribution of the system?s renovation is the studies are made for European Union?s candidacy. Government has a special interest in insurance sector, because of its direct relation with the country?s economic system. Therefore, the answers of bellow questions could give a general viewpoint for the base of study: - Where is the Turkish and European Union in this insurance sector? - What are the influences of the insurance sector?s activities to our economy? - What are the basic results of comparision of Turkish and European Union's Insurance Sectors? While we have searched for the answers of above questions, gone through all limitted literature. Recent updated informations are reached by reports and announcements in newspapers and televisions. Argument is made more understandable with the statistical charts of regarding foundations and institutes. For the more reliable information, printed literatures are become our priority than questionary of public survey. Conclusion of our study, Government is seemed like effective in the sector as an auditor and operator of obligatory insurance activities. All studies for European Union Standardization affect our economy in a positive way and help to development of insurance sector. To continue of this positive changes in insurance sector, individuals? knowledge of insurance must be improved. People has to be encouraged to have not only the obligatory insurances. Insurance sector?s employees, who don?t only give a high quality services and also must have enough information about claim functions.
