Abdullah Gül in Turkish political life

Abdullah Gül, who was elected as the Kayseri deputy of the Refah Party in 1991, served as a deputy in the Turkish Grand National Assembly for five terms until 2007. Abdullah Gül was first elected as a deputy from the Refah Party, a party of the National Vision Movement, and took place in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. While he was in the Fazilet Party, a party of the National Vision Movement, in 2000, he broke new ground in the National Vision Movement and became a candidate for the Chairman of the Virtue Party in front of Recai Kutan, the candidate he supported, by flying a flag against the leader of the Movement, Necmettin Erbakan. After the early elections were held in 2007, the crisis was resolved and Abdullah Gül, who was elected the 11th President of the Republic of Turkey in 2007, continued to do this duty until 2014. Abdullah Gül, who became President after him, co-founded the AK Party and walked together for years in the state administration of the Republic of Turkey, parted ways with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. He declared that he supported the Democracy and Atılım Party, which was founded under the chairmanship of Ali Babacan. The breaking point in Abdullah Gül's parting ways with Erdoğan is the date of the AK Party Extraordinary Congress, at the AK Party MKYK on 11 August 2014, where the AK Party Chairman election will be held, on 27 August 2014, just one day before Abdullah Gül's delivery of the Presidency.
