Old-age insurance for workers (4/1-(a)) in Turkish social security law

Old-age insurance is a main tool and purpose that protects people against from old age, which is an inevitable risk to be encountered in the future in terms of Social Security. In order to benefit from old age insurance, insured persons have to fulfill certain conditions determined by the law (number of contribution days, insurance period, age). However, the conditions of benefiting from old-age pension show variability constantly. The reason for this is that conditions such as contribution payment, insurance period and reaching a certain age are rather affected by changes such as the priority demographic change, socio-economic status, social life habits of countries. The rapid change in these effects makes Social Security Legislation quite complicated. In this study, the conditions of entitlement to old age insurance accepted for workers who make up a great part of the working life of our country has been handled in comparison with the repealed laws. In this study, it is aimed that workers with a large share in working life will reach to the answer the question of when they will retire, which is their greatest expectations from the social security system, and situations that affect the conditions of retirement.
