PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT IN TÜRK TELEKOMACCESS NETWORKS:A DATA ENVELOPMENT ANALYSIS (DEA)APPLICATION(M.Sc. Thesis)Serdar KOÇAKGAZ UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYJanuary 2006ABSTRACTIn this thesis, it is tried to measure the performance of Access NetworkDepartments in Türk Telekom Directorates by means of Data EnvelopmentAnalysis (DEA). For this purpose, 82 Access Network Department in TürkTelekom Directorates were selected and efficiency measurements of them havebeen performed. The variables that reflect the efficiency measurement in thebest way have been selected and related data has been collected. In addition, models of data envelopment analysis (DEA) were constructed for both input andoutput, the models have been solved by using LINDO and Frontier Analyst. Allresults by means of related variables have been compared with existent andtarget situation.Science Code : 919.1.148Key Words : Telecommunication, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA),EfficiencyPage Number : 122Adviser : Prof. Dr. Hadi GÖKÇEN
