The effect of the Turkish type presidental system on political parties

Turkey's system of government throughout the debate that occupied the political agenda for many years to come agenda after periods of 1980 continued to increase after the 2000s. The main element that guided these discussions was the political parties, which are the building blocks of the political system. Within this framework, firstly, the concept of government system and government system applications are discussed. Therefore, from government systems based on the unity of forces; from parliamentary government system and government systems based on monarchic order and separation of powers; parliamentary system, semi-presidential system and presidential system were examined. Then, political parties are defined and political party typologies and systems are examined. Discussed about the relationship of political parties with these concepts are part of the government system in Britain, France and the United States special in the model of country practices compared and gaze to the party system of government with the development of political parties, cases in Turkey were discussed. Later, considering the actual presidential and parliamentary elections as a result of Turkey political parties located in the Grand National Assembly on June 24, 2018, the program of the relevant parties, election manifestos and party rhetoric in public were examined in terms of their approach to a presidential system. In addition, after the transition to the Presidential government system, the political parties' harmonization with the system within the framework of their discourses and actions were examined. In the final analysis, as a result of the referendum on the constitutional amendment held on April 16, 2017, the effect on the political parties was discussed after the transition to the Presidential government system, which was expressed as "Turkish Type Presidency" in the public.
