Abstract (EN)

Structuralist research method is a method of examination led by Ferdinand De Sassure. Saussure examined the language structurally, considering it as a string of indicators. Many different fields of Sciense have applied the method of structuralism to their own fields, some of which Are Literature, Anthropology, Mathematics, Logic and Philosophy. This approach is also available in the analysis of some works in various branches of art and theatre plays are one of them. Structural analysis is applied to reveal the structural relationships of the elements in a theatre play and how they reflect the underlying meaning. In this research, it was examined how various Turkish theater critics used the structuralist approach while analyzing the plays in their criticism. For this, the criticisms written by Metin And, Sevda Şener, Ayşegül Yüksel, Zehra İpşiroğlu, Üstün Akmen, Hayati Asılyazıcı, Mehmet Konuk and Yaşam Kaya about twenty-four games were reviewed and evaluated in terms of the application of the structuralist approach.
