Investigation of Rafadan Tayfa Cartoon in terms of root values in Turkish language teaching program

It can be said that television is of great importance in terms of cultural transfer which is one of the tools children communicate the most. Rafadan Tayfa has ten chapters being the first show year of 2018. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the values which mentioned ten chapters include. In order to put forward this main objective, these chapters were examined in terms of the root values of justice, friendship, honesty, self-control, patience, respect, love, responsibility, patriotism and hepfulness included in Turkish Course Curriculum. The sub-objectives are to determine the quality and quantity of the sections examined in terms of root values.As a result of the research, a total of 742 values were determined in the examined sections. 674 of these are verbal and 68 of them are visual.It was realized that the most repeated value had been self-control value. Responsibility and respect follow this value in turn. As for the least determined value, it was patriotism.
