A wrong analysis of Turkish noble students learning Turkish about their impromptu talk

Mother tongue or foreign language teaching is based on four basic skills. These skills are as follows, in order of acquisition: Listening, speaking, reading and writing. Due to its effect on communicating in daily life, speaking skill is one step ahead. Despite this, it is stated in the related field writing that speaking skill is one of the least important and least studied language skills. Mistakes made during speaking are an important obstacle to gaining this skill in a qualified way. Turkish nobles who learn Turkish also make mistakes during speaking due to the factors arising from the similarity between the target language and their own language. Identifying the mistakes made by Turkish nobles for different reasons during their speech is of great importance in terms of effective and qualified language teaching. In the research, content analysis method was used in qualitative design. In this context, 114 students of Turkish origin studying at the B1 level at Çukurova and Sakarya University TÖMER voluntarily participated in the research. In order to detect the mistakes made by these students during impromptu speaking, students were allowed to make impromptu speeches on a topic selected from the checklist, based on expert opinion, and audio recordings were taken. These voice recordings were transcribed and mistakes were detected; These mistakes are divided into themes, categories and codes. The findings of the study revealed that Turkish nobles made 3 types of mistakes: "grammatical", "syntactic" and "code-switching".
