Examining of websites and applications related to Turkish language teaching

In this study, it is aimed to examine and evaluate the websites and applications prepared for teaching Turkish within the framework of various dimensions. In the study, descriptive research and document analysis from qualitative research methods and techniques were used. The data of the study consisted of institutive and personal websites created in the field of Turkish teaching and applications included in the App Store and Google Play. Data collection tools were created separately for websites. As a result of the study, it has been determined that 131 of 207 universities getting active in Turkey have Turkish teaching centers and the highest number of TÖMER are in Istanbul (f=28), whereas TÖMER getting active in Batman, Hakkâri and Şırnak doesn't exist. When the websites of these centers were examined, it was determined that the title with the most content was Communication (f=128), while the title with the least content was Other Languages (f=10). 8 universities did not use any abbreviation names while universities used TÖMER as the abbreviation name at most (f=94). Besides, the applications in the App Store and Google Play in the applications related in the field of Turkish teaching were analyzed according to tte number of the number of admiration, downloads and the age the age level they appeal to. As a result of the analysis, it was concluded that the keyword with the most data is Vocabulary, the keyword with the least data is Caricature, the applications in the App Store generally appeal to 4 years old and above and the applications in Google Play generally appeal to all age levels.
