Meanings students of turkish language education posed to "Turkish" and "literature" concepts

The semantic differential scale used for collectingdata was applied to first and fourth grade students. Thus, the approaches of students at thelevel of higher education were compared at the beginning and at the end of the instruction.Moreover, it was investigated whether there is a significant difference about posing conceptsdepending on the grade and gender. A comparison was also made between the posed conceptson ?Turkish? and ?Literature?.The sample of the research was first and fourth grade students at Abant Izzet BaysalUniversity Department of Turkish Language Education. Data obtained by means of semanticdifferantial scale was analyzed using SPSS Programme. As a result of findings, it was seenthat Turkish Language Education Department students had positive view and concept worldon ?Turkish? and ?Literature?.Keywords: Concept, Turkish language, Literature.
