Abstract (EN)

Our study, in general, consists of two chapters as "currently used derivational affixes in modern Turkish language and review of the assessment of derivational affixes in Turkish language education". In first chapter, currently used derivational affixes in modern Turkish language are divided into four groups due to their function and they are assessed in three parts as "origin – form – function". These affixes are presented with examples of their historic existance when possible, and with their usage in selected literature at each period of time. Second chapter of the thesis includes the review of how derivational affixes are assessed in Turkish language education. In this chapter we evaluated the assessment of affixes and the appearance of these affixes in textbooks with the changes in curriculum since 1981, and the concurrency of these two educational sources (textbooks and cirriculum) with each other, with literature data and with educational approaches. Key words: Derivational affixes, functions of affixes, forms of affixes, origins of affixes, Turkish language education
