Abstract (EN)

There are some differences between learning the four basic language skills in a foreign language and in the mother tongue. Therefore, it is possible to say that the skill that most clearly expresses communicative competence for individuals learning Turkish as a foreign language is speaking skill. The act of speaking is, first of all, a skill, not knowledge. In order to acquire this skill, students must be mentally strong and have high motivation. Self-efficacy studies, which enable language learners to make decisions about their learning, enable them to receive feedback about their own learning. It also gives you the ability to criticize. Students learning Turkish become aware of their strengths and weaknesses as they evaluate their self-efficacy. This study was conducted with 55 B2 level learners at Uşak University Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center. In the study, Sallabaş's (2013) Speaking Self-Efficacy Scale for Learners of Turkish as a Foreign Language was used to determine the learners' self-efficacy levels for speaking skills. In order to determine the self-efficacy levels, variables such as gender, age, the alphabet used in the mother tongue, the foreign language he knows, the time he lived in Turkey, the habit of watching Turkish media, the habit of reading Turkish publications, and the habit of speaking Turkish among themselves or with Turks were examined. As a result of the analysis, a significant difference was obtained in the variables of the alphabet used in his native language, the foreign language he knows, the time he lived in Turkey and his habit of speaking Turkish among himself and with Turks.
