The determined quality criterias and the evaluation of participants?s feed backs in the ?Trainings for neonatal rescucitation appliers? between the years of 2002, 2004 and 2007 in turkey

This is a descriptive study which aims to evaluate 427 NRP practitioner courses organized to train 7839 trainees in 60 provinces in Turkey in 2002, 2004 and 2007 against quality criteria set at course beginning and daily evaluations of participantsThe Course Reports were prepared in electronic and print copies during the courses and said reports were used for the purpose of this study. The quality criteria in the course reports include number and professions of trainers, number of trainees, success average of the certificate test, durations of theory and practice sessions and evaluations of trainers on physical environment. Moreover, data from daily evaluations of trainees on physical course environment, topics, theory, practice, training materials and trainers were usedThe precondition of at least four trainers present in each training was observed in general. When average theoretical course hours of group B were compared with course hours (A=330, B=345) in the programme, a significant difference was found in all three years. The same is true for group A (A=240, B=260) when average practical course hours are compared with course hours in the programme. Averages of success were 92.7 in 2007, 93.9 in 2004 and 93.2 in 2007 for group A courses and 91.7 in 2002, 95.9 in 2004 and 95.4 in 2007 for group B coursesAlthough quality criteria do not have much impact on examination success, these criteria need to be preserved given the high scores in evaluations of trainees and increased number of participants within yearsIn their course evaluations, the participants were much satisfied with ?trainers? in scoring (A=93.56; B=93.85). The lowest scores (A=82.38; B=81.31) were given to physical environment by both groups in all years.
