Turkish and German textbooks from types of schools whose primary goal is university entrance qualification. In the PISA exams, in which the success levels of countries' education systems are assessed internationally, German students perform significantly better in reading comprehension than students in our country, while students in our country are far behind the average of the OECD countries. Investigating the effect of text on the development of language skills is the main topic of this research. The data for this study, which was carried out in the case identification scheme depending on the qualitative research, was collected by reviewing the documents.
