Abstract (EN)
This research hasstressed on how 68 generation influenced Turkish Popular Music because 68 generation has opened a new road for the World and Turkey. Firstly; this research stress on the results and reasons of the actions that happened in the year of 68 and effects on the World and social and politic effects in Turkey. And after that the movements that happened in the world and influenced the Popular Music in Turkey. The 68 Movement rendered what kind of Popular Music raised in Turkey and what kind of traditional music the 68 musicians inspired from. 68 movement involves the protest attitude. This movement firstly started at the univercities then include the society; so made the society against the system and the government. Therefore this movement continued decades. The effects of this movement can be seen on culture and music easily. 68 generation movement started with student actions then spread out to all over the world because of that this movement influenced the world music at that time. It caused to emerge different types of music such as; protest music or revolution music. It has been given the name of "Özgün (Protest) Music" in Turkey; on the other hand in Turkey 68s' musicians produced different kinds of music such as; Anatolian Pop or Anatolian Rock. Moreover; these types of music (Anatolian Pop or Anatolian Rock) in Turkey had been produced by 68s' musicians. The development of these kinds of music such as; Özgün (Original) Music, Anatolian Rock and Anatolian Pop had got most of its inspiration from the poets such as Pir Sultan Abdal who has got protest attitude or who is related to the tradition poets of Turkish Local Music. In this research the analyses have been made by giving samples from the Özgün (Original) Music bands and musicians who play music by having inspiration from the tradition poets and who have got protest attitude.
