Abstract (EN)
In this study, the development process of animation art in Turkey and its current status are analysed. The art of animation, which has developed as a result of human creative processes and has a history of almost 200 years, is becoming more and more widespread in different communication media such as cinema, television and digital media. Especially in the show industry with its visual communication potential and aesthetic processes, animated films produced for advertising, news and documentary purposes, as well as animated films for entertainment and educational purposes for children continue to develop in our country. In this context, the development process from the first moving drawings produced in our country to today's three-dimensional animations and the events affecting this process are analysed. Crossroads in the art of animation in Turkey, the impact of developing technology on this art and how it is used in animation productions are explained.
