Reflections of violence to women in the Turkish press and an analysis of the concept of feminism: Awareness with data art

Women are people who shape and transform society. According to the historical transformation of societies, women in Turkey face important difficulties. These difficulties are not experienced only in the socio-cultural field, but also the right to life is not made possible. These difficulties, which are repeated today, and are being ignored in any case that belongs to womens life. The main purpose of the work is to raise awareness with artistic works from graphical forms by making frequency analysis of the data obtained with the structured questionnaire, which is included in the quantitative research method created for the purpose of examining physical violence against women in Turkey within the framework of traditional media news and analyzing the social effects of violence. In addition, by including the concept of feminism in this work, the subtitles of feminism; Liberal feminism, Cultural feminism, Anarchist feminism, Marxist feminism, Existential feminism, Radical feminism, Lesbian feminism, Black feminism and today's feminism culture after 1980 are detailed. Feminism culture compatible with women's freedom in Turkey had been used in the analysis and interpretation of data. The aim of this work is to flash on the reflections of violence against women in the media through data art in Turkey. A questionnaire was prepared, that included questions on violence against women and the media in Turkey.The graphical visualization made of the data obtained in the light of the survey with the participation of 474 people aged 18 and over which was open for 20 days between May 30 and April 19.
