Özet (EN)

In this study, Ankara, Kütahya, Kahramanmaras, Mugla, Kocaeli and Tekirdag obtained from different locations of Turkey, taken in the winter and summer seasons, the radiation properties of the soot aggregates are investigated. The structural properties of the soot aggregates were determined by examining more than 250 SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) images of the samples. The samples were classified three group and evaluated in terms of absorbing, scattering, and extinction properties using the discrete dipole approximation (DDA) in the visible and infrared spectrum. Addition to, the effects of PAN and PAH components were also evaluated according to the absorbance values of FTIR analysis in the wavelength range of 0,4-4,0 μm. Significant differences were observed in the absorption properties of the samples between wavelength 0.4 - 0.8 μm. These differences vary according to the climate characteristics, population and industrial densities of the cities where the samples were taken. According to the absorbance measurements of the samples, the absorption values of the Kocaeli samples were significantly higher than those values of other locations at the visible and infrared wavelengths. The lowest absorption values were obtained in Mugla's winter sample. The DDA approach also used to examination of the structural changes of the soot aggregates under the situation of first emisson, overlapping (20%) and volatile materials coating (50% and 80%). The studied cases for two different refractive indexes (m = 1.90 + 0.75i and m = 1.60 + 0.60i) were analyzed. It was observed that the radiative properties of the soot aggregates increase at short wavelength and decrease at long wavelength.
