Abstract (EN)

At the beginning of the main objectives of the works of children's literature, it is to ensure that children can look at the world with hope and a realistic eye by giving them a solid language skill and consciousness, and to teach them human values in various ways. Children growing up in an ever-changing and developing world experience this change and development with the media tools surrounding them. The most accurate way to help children understand this complex world in which they live is to meet the works of children's literature. This study published in Turkey literary and popular children's literature works found in humor elements, structure, fiction, functions, which context is used to examine; secondary school (5, 6, 7 and 8.The class ) period aims to investigate the contribution of children to educational and educational activities with the development of humor. It aims to reveal the contribution of humor to education-teaching life and especially Turkish education. In this study, literature review was used from qualitative research methods. The study group of the research is the works of the authors who have produced works in the field of children's literature. The primary sources that make up the research sample have been identified by the purposeful sampling method. In this context, 28 authors and 50 works were used as research samples. In the process of collecting data, literature scanning from qualitative research methods was used. The biggest factor in children's reading culture acquisition is that they meet funny and laughing books that they will have fun with. The most important issue here is the element of humor. Accordingly, the problems of the research were questioned, the determined works of children's literature were examined individually, the elements of humor were determined and the functions of these elements were determined. Descriptions containing humor have been determined. Children's literature works containing humor; It has been determined that they have functions such as exhibiting effective reading action, acquiring aesthetic pleasure and understanding, developing vocabulary, learning and absorbing cultural values. As a result, children's books have a wide range of influence, from the love and habit of reading to the child, to express himself in writing, to communicate effectively and to form his own self.
