Özet (EN)

Multi-modal transport is combination of at least two or more type of transportation (road, rail, sea or air) as a single transport chain. Multi-modal transportation benefits brought by economic, environmental and operational size and importance of this international and inter-city transport logistics applications, including problems such as long distance transportation is gaining importance. In this study, Turkey's geographical conditions, taking into consideration the existing domestic transport by road and rail with an integrated system is proposed. The proposed system, by evaluating the current status of roads and railways, rail transport by rail to places that the railway is not reached by road to places all over the country aimed to find the shortest tour. In this context, traveling salesman problems with ant colony algorithm is used to determine the shortest routes.Energy costs constitute the largest share of the costs of transport activities. Therefore, the amount of the shortest paths is examined in terms of energy consumption. In addition, the amount of carbon dioxide emitted to the environment is evaluated and safety, land use, noise and infrastructure costs are interpreted.
