The martial laws in the period of multi national party in Turkey

After beginning to experience Multi-Party Life,in 1945,Turkey witnessed military coup almost in every ten years.With the state policies implemented during the initial years of the Republic,in the time of single party life, one can say that democracy has developed in 1945 change from single party life to multi party life occured without huge problems. Nevertheless, Events after these years was much different. The period after 1945 was full of much politization two headedness,rivalness,the increase in political violence and terror ,bad trend of bureacracy and economic crises, and at the end comes the military coups.In this thesis,the events from multi party system to the end of 1973 is covered. Political and social side of state of siege and Martial law court is mentioned.State of siege is a kind of state governing implemented especially when state and people face a big social threat .This kind of goverment is used in the time of war, theat of war , civil war and uprise when the security of state and people are at risk or big economic crisies or natural disasters.Begining from Ottoman Impire to Turkish Republic, each and every constituno mentioned about state of siege. It is known that in and after the initial years of Republic, state of siege is implamented due to the different reasons. Thesis gives information to reader about the conditions, implementations and result of these. Martial law Commenders made the instructions public by their order and explanations some of which exist also in this thesis.Thesis incledes 3 sections .In the fırst section, the history and law side of martial law is mentioned. Also, first section gives a little information about martial laws implemented by foreign states. The second section gives emphasis on multi party system period and declaration of martial law and some implementations during theses period .The third section Martial law courts and the way of execution of these courts are covered by giving examples from real life.
