Abstract (EN)

Until today the establishment of the Republic of Turkey's foreign policy has always been important propound. To defend the interests of the Republic of Turkey in the international arena, winning Turkey's positive image has foreign policy interests and Minister of Foreign Affairs to the fore. In the history of Turkish Foreign Policy, 43 foreign ministers served. It is seen that 14 of these ministers have an academic career and title. These ministers, Prof. Dr. Hasan Saka, Prof Dr. Fuad Köprülü, Prof. Dr. Turan Güneş, Prof. Dr. Gündüz Ökçün, Dr. Hayrettin Erkmen, Prof. Dr. Ali Bozer, Dr. Mümtaz Soysal, Dr. Prof. Erdal İnönü, Assoc. Dr. Deniz Baykal, Dr. Emre Gönensay, Prof. Dr. Tansu Çiller, Dr. Şükrü Sina Gürel, Assoc. Dr. Abdullah Gül and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Davutoglu.Foreign Ministers of academic origin have reflected their academic identity and intellectual knowledge to foreign policy during their term of office. They made a mark on Turkish Foreign Policy with radical decisions and policies they created in critical times. International politics conducted in the area have achieved significant gains in the Republic of Turkey. Sometimes they have affected the country politically, socially and economically as a result of their policies. As a result, they have been subjected to many criticisms in the public opinion.
