ABSTRACTIn this research what the basic features of Turkish Republic are have beendetermined. Also how these features were expressed in the curriculum of Historylesson in secondary education and in the books of Turkish Republic RevolutionHistory and Ataturkism lesson in the third grade of high school have beenresearched.While determining the basic features of Turkish Republic the expressions inthe second paragraph of our constitution were taken into consideration and theexpressed and unexpressed features here were explained one by one.In the research after determining the unchangeable features of the Republic ithas been stressed the necessity of these features being added to the curriculum ofHistory lesson and the necessity of these features being studied in detail under thetitle of `?the basic features of Turkish Republic?? in Turkish Republic RevolutionHistory and Ataturkism lesson in the third grade of high school.
